Main Description

This Cheverton 27 is an excellent example of a very sturdy and rugged displacement boat. Built circa 1978 she is powered by two Mercedes 80 HP Diesel Engines that give her plenty of power while still being good on fuel economy. This particular version has the rare, extended enclosed wheelhouse giving her a feeling of space and comfort with her helm and two long bench sofas leading to a good sized double cabin, small galley and separate heads. Outside, she has a very generous open cockpit, that can be fully enclosed by her canvass canopy. This provides a very useful space for alfresco dining or with the covers removed, a great space for fishing from. Originally designed as a Pilot / Workboat style vessel, this Cheverton 27 now lends itself perfectly for a safe, spacious fishing boat or overnight cruiser with family & friends. Presented in very good condition she is currently lying Southampton.

Whether you are an experienced fisherman looking to fish a little further offshore, or a novice who wants to build confidence with a very safe, sturdy and exceptionally well equipped vessel, then this boat offers you everything you could wish for and probably a lot more. With her comfortable cabin with galley & heads and her good sized aft deck, she is a very flexible. Capable boat. Looking at her, she certainly does not show her age and she is fortunate to have the extended enclosed wheelhouse which means she can be used all year round, whatever the weather. Additionally, with her twin Mercedes engines, you will always have the peace of mind should you wish to travel further afield of having two engines. Due to her size, she can be managed single handily, but with the space she offers, trips with friends and family or fellow fishermen are equally as pleasurable. With a design similar to those seen for Pilot and Offshore Workboats, this Cheverton 27 is a safe, fun, solid and well built boat that is sure to give her new owners many years of happy use. Presented in excellent condition, it is clear that Blue Heron has been well looked after by knowledgeable Owners and is ready for her next adventure.
